Sprouting Challenge (DAY 2)
SPROUTING CHALLENGE (DAY 2)
(IF you’re not up so speed on “how to sprout?” see first post HERE)
Feeling giddy with all the progress my precious little sprouting seeds have made in just 24hrs! Happy to roll-out my results so far via this “Sprouting Challenge (Day 2)”!
PRE-SOAKING COMPLETED! Growing time…
Yesterday, I pre-soaked my alfalfa sprouts (8 hours) and my pea sprouts (6 hours) in bowls filled with water. Found-out from the kind folks at SproutingWorld.com– you don’t actually need to pre-soak peas but you definitely need to pre-soak alfalfa sprouting seeds.
SPROUTING DOME MAGIC TIME!
After soaking, I made sure to rinse the seeds off well! This is essential to a successful sprouting mission.
I transferred the seeds to the sprouting dome tray and rinsed them off again (that’s why I adore this sprouting dome, it makes the entire sprouting process easy and painless…) I filled the bottom piece of the dome with water, enough to touch the bottom of my seeds, but not too much (you don’t want your seeds floating.) Next, slap the cover on and leave your sprouts to work their magic until its shower/rinsing time again.
To keep my baby shoots growing- I’m rinsing them every morning/night- and replenishing the water at the bottom of my sprouting dome– pretty darn easy for even the worst green thumbs…
SEEDS AFTER 24HRS of SPROUTING
The sweet thing about sprouting is, everything happens so fast. Before you know it, you’ll be eating these little suckers! The proof is in the pudding as they say, look how fast my seeds sprouted in 24hours! It’s like science class in my kitchen all over again
24HRS MAKES A BIG SPROUTING DIFFERENCE!
Literally, after hours I can already tell the pea sprouts are strong little suckers. Growing really fast and strong! Yup, I’ll be eating these little pea shoots in no time! YUMMY!
Check-out their tails, that means you’re on the right track (AKA shooting…) You want to get that little seed alive again, growing, back to health. You will then in turn reap all the benefits of it’s EARLY, yummy MOST NUTRITIOUS moments. Eating veggies in their baby state – when they are at their healthiest!
CONCLUSION – Sprouting Challenge (Day 2)
Looking forward to seeing how far these shoot will reach by tomorrow night! Who said you can’t garden in Canada all year long! Thanks so much for reading my Sprouting Challenge (Day 2)! More on this mission coming in the next few days…
