Pure Hazelwood REVIEW & Contest

I was recently contacted to do a Pure Hazelwood Review (twist my arm, of course I was stoked!)

Not knowing much about them, I was promised their line was “paraben free” and Canadian-made… I was given quite a few products, so why not share the love. I’ve included a CONTEST BELOW to win a Pure Hazelwood lotion, necklace, and bracelet (just scroll on down…)

BEHIND THE BRAND: PURE HAZELWOOD

Pure Hazelwood are world leaders and makers of 100% pure hazel wood products for the whole family, inspired by First Nation traditions. Their two main products are: skincare (which includes 2 different types of lotions) and a line of Pure Hazelwood bracelets and necklaces for children and adults.

WHY HAZELWOOD?

Hazel wood is a tree that grows in the Canadian boreal forest. Pure Hazelwood has been studying and researching this tree’s medicinal benefits (anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties…) for over 18yrs; working closely with Laval University.

In February 2013, Pure Hazelwood was nominated as finalist in the Innovation in Green Chemistry Contest organized by the Centre Québécois de Valorisation des Biotechnologies. They definitely know their stuff…

Pure Hazelwood Zinc Ointment is a natural lotion intended to treat diaper rash. It’s FRAGRANCE-FREE & DYE FREE. It’s also filled with, of course, some hazelwood love too.

I liked using this lotion as a suncreen (since zinc is a powerful, natural SPF). It leaves behind white marks- typical of zinc, but it works well, goes on smooth and a little goes a long way.

The Pure Hazelwood Moisturizing Lotion comes in a compact tube, perfect for a purse lotion. It’s small, soaks-in quick, and is paraben-free of course! It works well on dry skin, use it any time.

ONE MONTH OF WEARING A BRACELET…

For the last month, I’ve been wearing (day & night) the Pure Hazelwood bracelet. I really wanted to give this item a lengthy try before writing about my results.

For one, I’ve noticed a difference with acne strangely; I definitely have less. I did break my neck when I was 17yrs old. I experience neck pain all the time, I was hoping this would help. I can’t say 100% in all honesty it has… but I do feel less stiff when I wake-up in the mornings, since wearing this little beaded jewel. I think more time will show more results…
