Luxe Botanics Review
Luxe Botanics Review
I was contacted to do this Luxe Botanics Review to coincide with the launch of their brand-new “Discovery Kits”. Oh yeah! “Sampler sets” get me all sorts of excited – needless to say, their aromatherapy standards had me hooked from the start…
Products are 100% free from:
(AKA toxic fillers most major brands fill their cheap products with: parabens, phthalates, sulphates, DEA, petrochemicals, formaldehyde, triclosan, or cosmetic fragrances)
Clean & Creative!
Founded in 2015, Luxe Botanics is a company that surrounds your skin in nature. Organic + fairtrade blends created after years of exotic travels and explorations (by founder Jene Restorft).
One of few companies I’ve ever seen offer botanically active ingredients:
- camu camu berry extract
- marula oil
- kigelia africana fruit extract
Scoring products filled with these types of rare carrier oils and fruit extracts (in skincare) is like finding a needle in a haystack. Aren’t we all looking for that skin miracle, that instant fix, that holy grail?! No arm twisting, I couldn’t wait to bust open my kit for this Luxe Botanics Review!
Included in the kits: 7 unique, 10ml jars of product to dabble and try, made by Luxe Botanics:
- Hydrating Marula Oil from Kenya: Serum + Pre-Cleanser
- Brightening Camu Camu from Brazil: Serum + Moisturiser + Cleanser
- Clarifying Kigelia Africana from Malawi: Serum + Moisturiser
Waking-up, I reached for my marula serum always! Loaded with “citrus smells”. Plus I loved how it felt on my groggy face!
Usually, I followed-up with the Camu Camu Moisturiser. As for the Kigelia serum and moisturiser, that’s what I used as my nighttime face fix for almost a week. Loved this stuff, the Kigelia Moisturiser is clear and jelly like. Felt super cooling and fresh on my skin.
Camu Brightening Cleanser was another fav out of this bunch. Packed full of Vitamin C and coconut oil – it removes makeup minus nasty scrubbing and cleanses at the same time.
Personally, I had enough product in my Discovery Kit for 6 full days of treatments (morning/night).
Always give the jars a good shake before using. Essential oils settle in oil. Shaking-up your product makes sure all the ingredients are evened-out.
Also, if you own an extra “dropper” use it to get the serums out of the jars. Trying to pour tiny oil amounts, from tiny jars just causes waste. You don’t want to be sticking your fingers in it either, the jars aren’t made for that.
Solely, essential oils are used to scent Luxe Botanics products. Nothing more, nothing less. Another thing I loved about the “Discovery Kit”: a few drops went a long way.
Sure, we’ve all done the rounds using your usual coconut oil, shea butter, jojoba oils on our faces…
But getting to try “new” oils like marula + camu camu, made my heart skip!
Not only are these ingredients rare/unique – they’re ethically harvested, vegan, cruelty-free, and when possible organic.
Quoting Luxe Botanics helps give their earthy, skin mission legs… All their products are meant to “enhance a woman’s confidence naturally, allowing nature to nurture”.
Like I mentioned, sampler kits are the best since you have a little something, for everything. Luxe’s Kit kept my complexion happy morning and night. And I also loved the simplicity using this kits, you can switch things up, use them together, or alone…
Happy to soak-in some new, winning oils. Carrier-oils like these on your skin is like winning a “top-carat” treat. Something special that makes your skin soft and fresh in a way you haven’t felt before.
Stoked to find-out that Luxe Botanics not only loves the planet – they also support local business partnerships. Pairing-up with Buy1GIVE1 (a non-profit organization) has allowed Luxe Botanics to share their passion with local communities across the world.
Empowering fair-trade markets, all the while making skincare = truly a lovely thing! Makes me want to support Luxe Botanics that much more.
So blogging is amazing for the sole reason I get to be graced with these super-power skincare brands, my skin would normally never have the chance.
Finally, everything from the smells, blends, texture and quality of these oils gets a major stamp of approval.
Available in: Europe, Canada, USA, UK, Australia, Singapore & Hong Kong. They’ve definitely made shopping easy, and their store is user-friendly. (They’re also worth the Twitter follow!)
