DIY Coffee Eye Lotion (All-Natural, Organic, Anti-Aging)

The latest skincare ingredients I’ve been dabbling with are coffee butter and coffee essential oil– hence perfecting a DIY Coffee Eye Lotion recipe. This concoction is organic, all-natural and full of anti-aging properties.

Coffee is jammed with anti-aging benefits beyond keeping you sane every morning.

Used for centuries on skin- a natural coffee based eye-lotion can help revive skin because of its anti-oxidant properties. Coffee helps repair cell damage and provides anti-inflammatory protection.

I’m torn between what I fear more: crows feet or my breast dropping. So anything I can do, to help keep my face wrinkle-free, I’ll gladly heap on.

RECIPE: DIY Coffee Eye Lotion (Anti-Aging)

  • 1 tbsp Coffee Butter
  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil
  • 3 tbsp Jojoba Oil
  • 3 tbsp Rosehip Seed Oil (if you only have one oil, like olive oil, jojoba oil or other carriers oils you can swap out and have fun just make sure they add up to 3 tsp…)
  • 10 grams Shea Butter
  • 20 grams Cocoa Butter
  • 10 drops Coffee Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Vanilla Essential Oil (optional)

(I use a weigh scale for the hard butters because it’s almost impossible to measure via spoon…)

Measuring butters is easiest on a numeric weigh scale

Melt all the ingredients in a boiler-boiler until the butters have completely melted.

Remove from the stove and carefully pour into a GLASS bowl- must be glass, not aluminum or plastic.

When melted, the lotion will appear clear

Add your essential oils & start whisking like you’ve never whisked before.

Keep going back to the bowl and whisking every few minutes. Trust me with time, you will see the product begin to lose it’s clearness and slowly thicken. If you’re pressed for time, put it in the fridge for a few minutes to speed up the cooling process.

When the coffee lotion has cooled down and thickened, transfer it to whatever container or containers you wish.

You can see the lotion is now cooled down

DETAILS: Keeps for approx. 6 months. Heap it on at night before bed, your face will thank you for it. Hope you liked this DIY Coffee Eye Lotion Recipe- for more skincare recipes by CLICK HERE

Do you think the coffee butter would be pore clogging with the vegetable oil in it? Thank you!!

    • Great question! I’ve never had this issue, it’s never been clogging for me or my friends (who’ve used this lotion for years too…) There is a recommended amount of this “coffee butter” for DIY recipes:
      • Lotions & Creams: 5 – 20 %
      • Balms: 5 – 100 %
      • Bar Soaps: 5 – 20 %
