Like skin on the prowl, I’m always hunting the latest “Canadian” pure potions! Yummy serums, perfumes, makeup – Canucks are making it all and getting international attention too!
In no order, just like children – I love em’ all the same… VOICI my “Best Canadian Organic Skincare 2018”. Obviously ALL ORGANIC & CRUELTY-FREE! Each of these hard-sloggers are doing big things, I can’t wait to see where the new year takes em’ all!
Like watching a little bud blossom into a pretty field- that’s what comes to mind when I think of HUNA.
One woman, on a skin mission, started mixing in her kitchen… She’s now the proud mama of a recognized worldwide skincare brand! Huna Apothecary make soothing formulas that put wrinkles to shame! Easy to use serums, creams, mists… Huna’s line is constantly growing at a huge pace!
Recently fancied-up! Huna’s sporting: new clean labels, a new logo, a new site, and stellar new products I can’t wait to try in 2018! Including, “Nourishing Lip Shine” and “Botanical Face Mist” with watermelon!
Sold via their quaint Etsy store, Sudsatorium is a ray of life when compared to any ol’ mainstream pile of dirty skincare. Always VEGAN, CRUELTY-FREE, and HANDMADE Sudsatorium mix a bit everything for your body.
Big fan of their lip tints, with charming names like: REPINK or PETAL PUSHER. The fun doesn’t stop there, find products like: BEERONIMO Shampoo – raising a pint to fresh hair OR SMELLS LIKE GREEN SPIRIT body lotion, infused with patchouli and pine.
Minimal eco-friendly packaging (BPA-FREE), fresh natural ingredients (fruits, veggies, flowers…) Plus a completely natural approach to skincare got Sudsatorium the title of Toronto’s “Most Honest and Most Bad-Ass Company” (IVI Magazine)! I’m stoked to see where nature will lead them next.
Where do I start with this BRAND! Obsessed is an understatement, easily find Maison Jacynthe all over my blog since I started 4yrs ago!
Jacynthe (owner, creator) has done it all! Acting, creating a magazine (Jmagazine) to teaching skincare classes out of her garden or being a mom… She’s an entrepreneurial maverick who makes some of the best TOXIC-FREE makeup I’ve ever tried!
Check-out their newest MAKEUP sets (love the ones that include a fragrance too!) Plus a slew of new colors, shades, and tints that’ll work for any face! Can’t forget to mention all the serums and other skincare gems they make. Not one product will disappoint. Jacynthe is constantly growing her brand and products every year. I’ll never stop preaching my love for these pure, powerhouse beauty blenders – LOVE YOU Jacynthe!
Flashing catchy taglines like: “feed your face” or “put your skin on a diet…” Graydon Skincare advocates plant-powered skincare! Its creator (the lovely Graydon) is known for being an ingredient anthropologist. Ingredients like: manuka honey, maple sap, cranberry seed oil (most of which is sourced from Canada!) are just to name a few!
Always quick to discover the latest plant sources to feed and protect. Shop by skin type or their entire collection… Personally, I LOVE their FACE FOAM – probably it’s the apple cider vinegar inside. Makes skin so fresh! I plan on using this lots in 2018!
Uber pure ingredients and new blends constantly being introduced. Always curious to see what skin healers Graydon Skincare will release on the world next!
KAIA Naturals are the masterminds behind the 99% natural, aluminum-free, vegan, odor-fighting, charcoal based deodorants: “The Takesumi Detox” line!
Don’t just take it from superstars to Sephora snobs… People are raving about KAIA Naturals charcoal-based deo’s. Formulated to work in “steps” it’ll start first, by removing odor, then toxins (which causes a few weeks of stink I guess, then you’re good! Smell free!)

Locally owned and operated – they just keep growing their presence and products! Even opening their own store in Brighton, ON.
Satisfaction always guaranteed, cause their stuff works! Labels aren’t too fancy, they concentrate more on the love put inside. All products are made in small batches. Most recently, I’ve been watching them grow their cosmetic line. Including amazing foundations with 12 different skin tones to choose from!
Big fan of Rocia’s sweet “Cleansing Cakes” and “Mixer Masque” – see my REVIEW + mixing lowdown!
When I started this Best Canadian Organic Skincare 2018 – Rocia was one of the first skincare companies I knew I had to include!
Hailing from my hometown, Saaboon dishes-out the BEST soaps ever. Trust that my shower has seen more than a few thousand bars over my decades. After finding Saaboon, nothing quite compares. Perfect size, texture, and natural smells – this owner has his soap formula down pact!
Soaps with a purpose- some for shaving, detoxing, exfoliating etc… At least 12 bars to shop from at $6.99 each, you can’t help but want to try them all!
Recently Saaboon started dipping-into skincare too (deos, balms, lip care, serums, bath salts…) Planning a big shopping trip at their new store-front in 2018 to try some new creations!
Growing at a huge rate locally! Hope these guys start getting the national recognition they deserve in 2018.
One, Province Apothecary product I know will gain steam in 2018 is their new “Daily Glow Facial Dry Brush”! Consider skin brushing is a huge deal right now, one for your face is a genius idea! Just another way Province Apothecary stand above the rest with their creative concoctions.
Top-notch perfumes, that won’t make you or your family sick. I’m always checking back for new ones being added!
Finally, don’t forget their best seller “Sex Oil”! Joyous approved health… Oh yea baby!
Not overrated. Received it as a gift, even as a body lotion- AMAZING!
I feel emotionally involved with anything this brand does or tries next! Synonymous for their perfumes – known to change lives and communities in war-torn, impoverished countries. 7 Virtues is a big deal today, humbly starting-out on “Dragon’s Den” none-the-less!
Last year, saw the introduction of their new, yummy fragrance 7 Virtues Jasmine of India! PLUS a new line of all VEGAN LIPSTICKS! No beeswax in there, rather cocoa butter from Haiti. Itching to get my lips all over one of these in the new year!
Good for the world and good for your skin – everything at 7 Virtues is ethically sourced and handcrafted in Nova Scotia!
